Working in the NBA a 'Dream Come True' for Wallace
"Buckhannon native Chris Wallace is widely known as one of the nation's foremost evaluators of basketball talent," writes Mickey Furfari of the CHARLESTON DAILY MAIL. "At 48, he's also one of the brightest young executives in the National Basketball Association. Wallace is in his 10th year as general manager of the Boston Celtics. And his basketball expertise and savvy has been critical in that franchise's development." "You've got to give NBA commissioner David Stern credit," writes Roy Fuoco of THE LEDGER in Florida. "In an attempt to change the way basketball is played at the NBA level, he wants to do something that is rare. He wants to attack the problem at the grassroots level...Stern's idea is to create a basketball academy with USA Basketball, sponsored by the NBA. Athletes would attend classes but also spend time working with coaches on fundamentals."
