Wizards, Jeffries Are at Crossroads

"The Washington Wizards will receive a copy today of the five-year, $30 million offer sheet restricted free agent guard-forward Jared Jeffries signed with the New York Knicks on Friday. The team will have until next Monday to decide whether to match," writes Ivan Carter of THE WASHINGTON POST. "Jeffries's agent, Andy Miller, said Jeffries wants to play with the Knicks and hopes the Wizards do not match." "From out of obscurity to the MVP for KT," writes Roger Cleaveland of THE REPUBLICAN AMERICAN. "Going into this season, Katie "KT" Douglas happily existed as the perfect complementary player for the Connecticut Sun. She possessed the ability to score 20 points on any given night, but was content scoring 10 per game while harassing the opponent's best perimeter player defensively."
