Team USA Discovers Victory in Numbers

Brian Windhorst of the AKRON BEACON JOURNAL writes "In many international pursuits, China's numbers are its greatest asset. But no basketball team in the world is deeper than Team USA, a fact that was driven home Sunday at the 2006 FIBA World Championship. The Americans treated their game against the Chinese more like a practice, attempting to fine-tune some basics on their way to a 121-90 victory."The PEOPLE'S DAILY ONLINE reports, "NBA All-star center Yao Ming thought the China has made considerable improvement at the World Men's Basketball Championship although the Asian champions lost to the United States by 31 points here on Sunday. This was China's second defeat at the championships following their 84-69 loss to Italy one day before."
