Mavs Add Defense, Rings with George
Jonathan Tjarks of The DALLAS MORNING NEWS writes, "After their collapse in June's NBA Finals, the top of the Mavericks' off-season wish list was a defensively minded swingman with championship experience and an ability to stretch the court."
Doug Smith of the TORONTO STAR writes, "If the Raptors can survive until Jan. 1, 2007, the NBA schedule isn't such a bad thing. If they can't, trouble lurks. The team will spend an exorbitant amount of the first two months of the season away from Toronto, playing 19 of its 41 road games in November and December, a stretch that includes road trips of five and four games to the west coast."
